Master of Public Health (MPH) Application
You must apply to the program using the instructions provided on the UCR Graduate Division webpage. The instructions must be followed exactly to receive full consideration for admission to the MPH program.

Eligibility
The UCR MPH Admissions process is based upon a philosophy of holistic admissions, which assesses an applicant's unique experiences alongside traditional measures of academic achievement such as grades and test scores. The MPH application criteria include:
- Successful Completion of Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Undergraduate 3.0 GPA
- Letters of recommendation
- Transcripts
- Resume/CV
- Statement of Purpose and Personal History Statement
- GRE optional
Our holistic admissions process considers the following metrics (within the above criteria) to gain a broader context of each applicant and to achieve an equitable representation of students in the MPH program.
- Academic performance as measured by GPA, relevant coursework, Resume/CV, GRE (optional)
- Mission alignment to UCR as reflected in an applicant’s personal statement, statement of purpose, letters of recommendation, or Resume/CV
- Underserved community experience and insight as indicated in personal statement, letters of recommendation, or Resume/CV
- Public health interest and career goals as indicated by evaluation of work, volunteer and life experiences within application, personal statement, letters of recommendation, and/or Resume/CV
